Panchakarma at Anya Ayurveda

Panchakarma is the cornerstone of Ayurvedic healing—a powerful five-fold detoxification process designed to eliminate deep-rooted toxins (ama), balance the doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), and rejuvenate the entire system. It goes beyond surface-level cleansing and works at a cellular and energetic level to restore health and vitality.
At Anya Ayurveda, each Panchakarma plan is highly individualised, based on your constitution (prakriti), imbalances (vikriti), lifestyle, and current health conditions. The treatment is carefully structured to guide your body through a complete cycle of detox, restoration, and balance.

The Panchakarma Process

The complete Panchakarma protocol includes three stages:

Purva Karma (Preparation):
This pre-detox phase includes therapies like Abhyanga (herbal oil massage), Swedana (steam therapy), and internal oleation. These steps loosen deep-seated toxins and prepare the body for cleansing.

Pradhana Karma (Main Detox):
This is the core of Panchakarma—where one or more of the five cleansing therapies are administered, depending on your dosha imbalance and health goals.

Paschat Karma (Post-Care):
This recovery phase supports rejuvenation through diet, herbal tonics, and lifestyle guidance to stabilise the benefits and avoid relapse.

Vamana (Therapeutic Emesis)

This treatment eliminates excess Kapha from the body and is especially useful in conditions like asthma, chronic congestion, and indigestion.

Virechana (Purgation Therapy)

Controlled herbal purgation helps clear excess Pitta from the liver and intestines, aiding conditions like skin disorders, acidity, and inflammatory issues.

Basti (Medicated Enema)

This powerful colon therapy uses herbal oils or decoctions to cleanse Vata from its primary seat in the colon. It addresses issues like arthritis, constipation, and neurological imbalances.

Nasya (Nasal Therapy)

Herbal oils or powders are administered through the nasal passage to remove toxins from the head and sinus region. It is beneficial for migraines, sinusitis, and mental fog.

Rakta Moksha (Bloodletting Therapy)

This process removes vitiated blood from the system and helps treat skin conditions, abscesses, and inflammatory diseases. It is administered only when indicated and under strict supervision.
